Daniel Sánchez
I'm a Colombian Industrial and Product Designer based in Annecy, France. I studied in Bogotá and Milan, and for the past six years I've been developing products in the active mobility field, working across complete bicycles, vehicle components, and contributing to the design of a pedal-powered electric vehicle. I'm drawn to projects where performance, technical precision, and cultural identity have to coexist, where the challenge is not just to make something that works, but something that resonates with the people who use it.
What drives my work is a conviction that objects communicate. The way something is shaped, the way it fits in your hand, the details that most people won't consciously notice but will feel, those things define the experience of using a product. My approach is rooted in two principles: honesty and attention to detail. I believe that a well-designed object should make its purpose and intentions legible through the way it is conceived, not through explanation.
That same sensibility extends to my practice as an artist. For the past seven years I've been exploring figurative drawing and painting, applying the same obsession with detail to capture the essence of a subject, the atmosphere of a moment, the emotion behind what I'm looking at. For me, art and design are two expressions of the same way of seeing the world.
